When I made this painting I thought about the young couples, wives and husbands, what is their life look like? Are they really happy like they are on the family portraits? What is their relationship when one of them gets ill ? Do they really , really care about each other? And… what is this about the old people that live in a marriage state? I don’t know if my couple has a happy marriage, maybe this man lives in a nightmare? Or maybe this woman never had an orgasm? And maybe… they are not exist…
